We Will Miss You Steve!

May his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Steve was very compassionate, as a teacher and counselor, he helped many.  Even allowing one student who didn't have a stable family, to come live with them.  While in college, Rod said he was very kind to everyone.   Rod remembers clearly a Friday afternoon before a 3 day weekend, the parking lot empty except for one car, another person and Steve.  He had stayed to help change the oil in the older car so the other person could get home safely.  Our hearts go out to Karen and their two children Julia and Jack.  A lifetime of living to do without their beloved and their daddy.

As sadness comes upon our household, a joyful song will not leave my thoughts...

Blest are they who show mercy, mercy shall be theirs.  Blest are they, the pure in heart, they shall see God!  Rejoice and be glad, blessed are you, holy are you!  Rejoice and be glad!  Yours is the kingdom of God!

Our prayers continue to go out to Karen and the kids.
Your post was beautiful and a testament to your friendship to such a kind person.
His suffering is done and now he can enjoy peace.

Oh to say good-bye. Even for a person of faith, who should seek joy and comfort that a fellow has gone on to their creator - their hope, it is the earthly sadness that tears a heart.

Our condolences go out especially to Steve's family, and also to his friends that loved him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed, through the awesome mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
