This week I read two posts; one made me happy, one made me cry. The first is from Angie at Many Little Blessings. She downloaded an entire year of blog entries and sent them to a company who published a hardcover book for $39.95. For me this is an easy and enjoyable way to preserve our memories. I already know what will be on the top of my Christmas list next year. Since I'm the Grasshopper I can't presume I'll have an entire year of posts, but at least I'm guaranteed to have 1 & 1/2 months in a book.
The second post is from my sister Lisa at This Crazy Little Life of Mine. She wrote about Valentine's Day being the day of my Mom's funeral Mass sixteen years ago. Every comment she wrote is a memory that sits inside me, some may have been expressed, some not. To see it written made the tears flow. It's hard to put into words the need for a Mother, no matter how old you get.

What a creative blogger you are - two posts with the picture. I enjoyed both those posts as well. Kind of makes me want to blog - but how to express so well so succinctly? Very difficult to face reality when its in black and white. Can't read or write without becoming emotional.
I love the title and the picture; very creative.
I am also enjoyed Angie's post. That is the reason behind my blogging to begin with. It will be the one item on my list this year.
I have been wanting to those memories on paper for a long time. Your post on the 10th inspired me.
Thanks for mentioning my blog -- I appreciate it!
I'm sorry to hear about the painful memories of your mother's passing. I just can't even imagine, so I won't pretend to. However, as I read your post, I said a little prayer for you and your sister. It's hard when certain nice things trigger sad memories.
